Mould

Mould is a microorganism present in soil, dust and decaying organic matter. It produces spores that are capable of becoming airborne and inhaled. Breathing this can cause infection, allergic sensitivities & toxicity. People most at risk are those exposed to visible mould growth – at work or home. Indicators of mould & poor indoor air can include unpleasant odours, discoloration and degradation of building materials, condensation on windows or walls, smelly or stuffy air in areas where books, shoes or other items are stored. If not controlled, spores will populate within the building, creating a greater problem.

Making better choices includes assessing the materials in your home & ensuring you are aware of their potential risks e.g. lead, dust, asbestos, sawdust & plaster dust.
