Randon

Naturally-occurring, randon is a radioactive gas that you can’t see, smell or taste. If found in your home, it can pose a danger to your health. Randon results from the radioactive decay of some forms of uranium & rock e.g. granite. The gas leaves soil or rock and enters the air, easily spreading from outdoor to indoor air. Entering buildings (more commonly basements & cellars) via the soil underneath, concentrations inside can be higher than outdoors because the dispersion of air is less restricted.
